Yup, that's a pre-ordered. The awesome bird gauntlet alone is enough to make him a must buy.

As for height, the Super 7 stuff seems to be 7"ish tall, so he'll probably be taller then the Legions figures, but not by much. But this glorious golden king of the dead SHOULD stand above all those other lesser undead who don't have awesome birds on their gloves.

Yeah, I'm assuming The Worst are mostly going to be the same height as Super7s Shredder.
Here's a comparison shot, he's not that much bigger so I think it work great as a boss skeleton.

Ah I got those on PO too, been waiting on them for awhile now but it looks like they're coming out soon.
I wish the regular white skeletons weren't so hard to get a hold of at a decent price.

I actually got two sets of em when they went up for pre-order. I use em as an upgrade to the old Revoltech Skeleton, who has *not* aged well at all. These guys are basically just larger versions of them with better joints but less gear. They can hold Legion stuff well enough though so that's not really an issue.

It went well for me, wish I had picked up a couple more Black Knights and maybe another Templar, but I'm still happy. Big thanks to the anons who advocated for the Barbarian Builder, it made a surprising difference to how much I enjoyed messing with them all.

All-Stars 5 Dreams?
My ideal wave has not-Extendar the Dwarf/Human changeling with a frog mouth helm, not-Tung Lashor the Helphyre Goblin, Hadrianna, a Gold Knight, B'alam, a horse repaint or two, and weapon packs. Not really expecting any of that unless they do the Gold Knight to fill out Eathyron factions a bit more ahead of Necronominus.
Speaking of which, anyone think we won't get a Gideon Heavensbrand 2.0?

There's no way a Fisto homage isn't coming sometime soon. That Magnus head is already a spitting image of him. Though a Tunglashor out of the Helphyre gob would be amazing, especially if it was on a full sized body. They could even throw in a purple Orc head and re-use Herra's snake staff to really hit all the homage points.

..........now I'm kinda curious to see how a Bog Gob head works on the bare torso.

Sadly, it doesn't
The special neck piece just pegs into the bottom neck hole of the chest, instead of being a ball joint head socket.
That was one of the first things I was going to do with him was put his head on satan. I'd guess the Boarrior head works the same way.

For the MOTU homages I'm guessing we'll be getting Beastman using the fur collar from Krampus and the bearded orc head, they finally have all the parts to make one aside from a whip.
I also think could pull off Fisto by repairing Magnus and giving him bare arms but I'm not sure what they would do about the fist.
As for regular figures I really want Snagg, Knubnik and Thwikk since I want to build up my goblins and I want Rahmulus.

That kinda sucks, the effect wouldn't be the same on an armored torso seeing as Tung Lashor didn't have armor.

But the Boarrior head actually has a regular dwarf neck and fits just fine on the bare body. Though it looks real wonky cause there's a lot of hang over with the neck rolls. It works much better with the minotaur collar added but it's still far from perfect.

Illgar and Otho have to be two of the top contenders for a re-release, especially with how they kept teasing about Otho throughout the in stock flash sales. Of all the older figures, Otho is probably the last one I'd buy and even then he's only a kind of maybe-want.

I'd love a Deluxe Beast Man builder set, with the boar, cat, and minotaur head; with the beast shoulders, tails, hooves, and some alt clawed hands & feet.

Don't know if I'd prefer plain colors like tan, white, black, or brown; or make it more wacky like bright blue or red.

That sounds cool, I'd say throw in the fur collar too.
Something I've been wanting is a demon legion builder, mostly a bare male body in red with feet/hands, spiked armour, a small set of wings, a demon tail and a unhelmeted demon head and a demon helmet.

Just dipped my toe into the ML line. Got Tibius and the female skelly Builder since I like the more slender bones. I'm just learning about them so I paid BBTS prices but I guess I'll follow Store Horsemen in future. I also have a female wizard on preorder from there just cause she looked cool.

I hope eventually get some that are willing to compromise the sculpt for things like thigh swivels up by the joints or something, at least as an option.

Anything I should know about them in general? I hear you can do a lot of parts swapping on them for funsies.

I think the skeletons are the only Mythic legions that dont have a thigh swivel

Yeah, sorry was specifically talking about the skeletons. Right now they're the main thing I'm interested in of the available wave on BBTS. I don't think it's absolutely imperative but I think it would be nice to have some hyper-articulated ones as well, especially since a lot have the upper thigh hidden with waist armor.

Opened up my other two figures and made these.
Once my Skeleton LB comes in I plan to give the black knight ghost its bone armour (assuming they match colour wise), also I may replace the chest with the tunic.
Now I need to figure out what to do with my extra Hagnon parts.

Any head looks great on the solid black knight body. Hagnon's skull or helmet, Scaphoid's green skulls, the orc LB head...
He's just a wonderful blank slate.

If you have the right colored parts, or feel like painting, you could use the Hagnon helmet for Mysterio, like this guy did.

Yeah blacks one of those colors that go with everything, it's really easy to put together a good looking character with it.

Not necessarily just the beard head, but sometimes heads will be a bit too tight or loose on other figures they didn't come with, even if they're the same body type. I've also noticed that with the 1.0 figures the neck pieces will pop out of the body before the head pops off the neck.

One last kitbash for now since my second order came in, I have another orc, barbarian and 2 skeletons but I'm going to save those.
This is just using the Malleus parts I had left over. The colour difference on the hands and feet are way more noticable on camera so I might end up chanting them.

This is what I get. There may be some perspective error, but it seems to match with the size of a non-oversized 6" figure, closest in size to the 2.0 skeleton.
I'm very interested on this new line just by itself, but if they are indeed a bit smaller than Legions I'll be especially looking forward for races and archetypes that mix well as a smaller frame next to Legions. If they give me a female mage that can work as an expy for Marek from Mythica (who's only 157cm / 5'2" tall) next to Legions I'll be so damn happy.

If that scale is accurate, this will be fantastic. The 2.0 Skeletons were the best "shambling horde" figures we got in Legions, so having the Boss Fight ones be a similar size will really help blend them right in with the fresh undead. Shame their bones won't match though.

The past 2 All-Stars waves have been 4 reissued figures voted by fans, 2 MOTU tribute figures, and a troll reissue with a new alt head painted to match.

We'll probably get Brontus with a repainted Stone Troll head (Ice Troll All-Stars will have repainted Brontus head next year).

Last year Faustia and Ragna were the only 2 newer figures in the running. Considering how long she lasted in the Siege/Wasteland stock sale, & Exodus, and the fact that the Arethyr lady knight is much better than her, I doubt she'll actually get in any time soon.
Ragna also has the problem that even dwarf fans are split on her, since she feels more like a halfling than dwarf woman, so I doubt she'll get in.

They never reissue the He-Mans, and I view the new ones as more of bonus extras, than as "stealing" a slot from older figures.

I hate how they insist on using the bucket helm as the default head for Cassia. The horned half helm makes her look so much better, far more barbarian like. It's such a more striking look and makes her feel a bit more unique as a figure.

Revoltech made an actual Harryhousen Skeleton over a decade ago, but he's pretty small next to Legions figs. Even so, he's still one of the best. Oh yea no, whoever made that second grouping really needs a kick in the balls. This whole vote just seems poorly laid out. Why is it grouped in Four, then Eight then Nine figures? What's the logic there? And Faustia is listed twice. I'm sure there's an entirely valid yet still ridiculous reason for this set up. But it's still *really* dumb and only hurts the entire excitement around these All-Star votes.

Literally all of the figures I would've thrown my votes to are in the second group. And the only one I'd even personally want out of the entire list is Clavian. Alright, my group 3 vote will be for the Goblin. All that's left is group 1.

Rahmulus and Calavius are both really nice figures, and will go well with the upcoming Gladiator Dlx Legion Builder. B'alam is only interesting because of his head and the Silverhorn Sentry....exists (he would've been a lot better with bare limbs imo).

What a weird voting system. Doesn't change any of my votes, but I would have strategized differently.

Guesses for results?
Group 1: Rahmulus definitely goes through. I'm unsure if Silverhorn or B'alam takes the other slot, I like B'alam more and I remember the Sentry hanging around in stock for a while, but I've seen more support for the Silverhorn.

Group 2: Ilgar for sure, Hagnon as well. Azhar should make it, but I can see the last slot going to anyone but Gonxx or Clavian.

Group 3: Probably Ranger, fuck if I know the rest, only matters to the Horsemen, we already know they aren't going to win overall.

Final result: Rahmulus, Ilgar, and Hagnon. Anyone expect anything different?

I'm thinking Rahm and B'alam get in from group 1. There's so little talk of Calavius (and the Xesray stuff really make better gladiators) and the Sentry is just a boring figure who's already shelf warmed.

Group 2 is definitely Hangnon, Illgar and Demon dude. Not sure on the fourth, my gut says Clavian (the only figure I actually want) but my brain is saying Dwarf king or something. He does come with a lot of stuff afterall.

Group 3 is anyone's game. Goblin for sure, probably Ranger too and I can see the Vamp being popular to bulk up the Illythia wave which should be landing soonish. Probably Cassia too since people dig fembarians.

But once the final round starts, none of that will matter cause no one from Group 3 is making the final cut. Illgar, Hagnon and Demon guy will be the final winners making all this "Grouping" stuff incredibly pointless.

I think a lot of it comes from social media posts the reviewers make, which I don't care about unless a review is sidelined for 10 minutes so they can talk about politics whatever (which never happens), I think the people who dig into that kind stuff are just trying to finding something to get offended about.
I've watched a couple damazing reviewers before and he's alright, though I tend to skip around reviews a lot to get the information I want to know. The one thing I like is that he does a bunch of size comparisons across different lines, so it makes it easy to guesstimate sizes.

I missed the original Rancorfag drama, but I remember starting a thread with the prototype for Brontus, and everyone went "What have you done anon? You'll summon Rancorfag." And it did.
That was late 2016/early 2017 if I remember right.
At least 5 years of posting the exact same picture anytime someone mentions the trolls. That's dedication to not taking your meds.
I agree with him on some points too. The elbows really do suck, but it was an articulation point that the rancor didn't have. And using the bicep swivels on the rancor broke the look of the sculpt due to its position on the bicep which had an ovaloid cross section.
And comparing the prices of a 2009 mass retail item (even if it was an exclusive) to a 2016 release by a small company that makes a few thousand units at most is, at best, a complete misunderstanding of how scales of economy work, and at worst intellectually dishonest.

I generally think 2.0s are worth the mark up as you have the extended range of motion but that said we're most likely getting a skeleton themed wave at the end of the year which might have it's own 2.0 skeletons so you might want to hold off until that.

If 4H is too cheap to even fix their problems for re-releases, why should there be new photos? My photos show exactly the problems with 4H's terrible joints and shows how a toy that actually has good engineering should behave.

I mean, i get it, you're a fanboy who hates criticism and hope to drag in more suckers to buy their lazily engineered overpriced toys, but facts are facts.

Check out this amazing range of motion from its arm. A ball hinge joint, yet it acts like a swivel with a hole that's slightly too large, allowing the forearm to lean slightly forward so it almost looks like it's bending at the elbow!

If you look at the rancor's feet, you can see that they're flat regardless of teh surface they're on, because Hasbro put thought into their toy.

I've proved myself more than a few times. The Lost Planet mech was included to show which anon i was, as i had previously posted the mech before and included it. Literally aren't any anons who own the same toys as me.
Then again i proved it by posting my other 4H figures.
And finally i proved it yet again, by making a quasi-3d image, because i took multiple photos of that "scene" and picked the best one. No one else would have the other photos, because i took them.
To prove myself again is just hopeless cope from fanboys who hate criticism and need anything to deflect criticism over a poorly made toy most of you already sold or didn't bother to buy, because it's a poorly made toy.

You don't need to paint a Test Shot to get it to look good. Some simple parts swap or custom gear is enough to really make the basic grey figure look good. Though the real "value" of a 4h Test shot is it's limited nature. At most, only ten of a single character get made, and they sell em for not too much over the standard price.

I always say the best way to deal with a troll is to just ignore them and post pics. Let them be surly and unhappy all on their own while we're all just enjoying our figures.

I only have one of the trolls, and while he's not the greatest figure in the world, I do really enjoy him and I'm glad I made the purchase. The different heads and colors aren't enough for me to want multiples of the figure, but just having one is enough of a statement piece especially when he's set up with the rest of an army. He really feels like a massive threat that the heroes will have to struggle with to win, and that's all he really needed to be.

I'm personally the most fond of the Stone troll because he's both menacing and kind of adorable. With his big buck teeth, dopey little ears and round ball of a head, he feels like he could be an innocent hunk of beast just as much as a rampaging terror.

Yea, I picked up two of em back when the first Kickstarter was still in production. They came out right around Christmas time, I had some cash to burn and they'd be everyone's first real glimpse of the figures. I don't normally care about early releases or getting things before others, but I was super hyped for this line and wanted to get my hands on figures so I could start seeing what accessories could possibly work on em. I amassed a huge pile of weapons and armor and capes and stuff I could potentially use on these guys because while straight fantasy 1:12 stuff was rare at the time, fantasy accessories were abundant and easy to come by.

I never made that connection before, but I can totally see it! He just has this roundness to him that wouldn't be threatening if he weren't so big. Compared to the Forest and Ice Trolls, who just have absolutely sinister faces, the Stone Troll just has a lovable derp face.

I remember playing DD and starting to feel bad for how easily I could wipe out those Cyclops. Almost felt like I was picking on em. Then I met the Gorecyclopses and that feeling went away real fast lol.

You're gonna need more then an adapter, the upper body of the Centaur is larger then the 1.0 torsos. If you just tried to pop a regular torso on the horse neck, it would probably look super awkward.

I'm pretty sure the new Brute scale figures use the same torso though so you could try using one of those. But then your options would probably end up looking worse as centaurs. Though an Orc Centaur on the Phlogeus body would certainly be interesting.

Got my Rement adventure set today and tried it out with a few things.
Obviously a lot of it works best with smaller figma/figuarts scale figures but I find 2.0s can hold the weapons and items fine.
Overall it's a nice little set though, and you get a ton of stuff (more than what is in my picture).

Yup. I preordered Scaphoid and got him in late last year.

I'm surprised they're selling the basic figures for $37 now. I thought it was going to be all the new waves going forward, but I guess they're retroactively applying it to the older ones, too.

I also find it really weird that they're "selling" replacement Krampus parts for a penny, instead of just going through the usual QC method.

They're asking not to buy them just to have extras, so Chris has to go through and check every order and email anyway; this just seems like extra work.

I do like how they're changing up the overall body shapes in this line. A lot of the characters so far cut very unique silhouettes and the part reuse isn't nearly as blatant as the Legion's first few waves. I'm having this same exact discussion myself. I like the brighter colors, and had the vest been entirely red camo, I might have switched my pre-orders. So I never read got more than some skeletons and goblin army builders from this line since for the most part I don’t like collecting fantasy outside of LOTR.

That being said anyone else getting the cosmic line? I’m on the fence, I love science fiction but I’m a little let down with the first wave. Not a fan of the prison motif, kind of wanted more gun type weapons. Which ones is everyone getting?

I've been flip flopping, at first I was all in since I like aliens and was wrapped up in the hype of being at ground zero of a new 4H line.
Then over the months I kinda lost interest and was considering shifting my focus to only be on Mythic Legions and was planning on selling the stuff I order.

See I am torn on the idea of Olek. I am currently wrestling if I should pick up the gladiator version of him from BBTS since I passed on him for his pre-prison look. I like the idea of showing him evolve from a story perspective, but hate the idea of buying the same character from a collector standpoint.

So far I have gotten the other 3 pitfighters, 2 sentries, 1 scientist, 2 engineers, and Slogg. That was a lot of dough to drop on some figures for me, especially since I am not keen on the prison idea as I am for more of a galactic war theme.

Mythic Legions has instilled a FOMO like no other on me, usually I am immune to it. But fuck some of the figures go for insane prices now.

I'm in on the line, but not going nearly as hard on it as I did with Mythic. At the time Mythic came out, generic fantasy figures in this scale were hard to come by so the line felt like a breath of fresh air. With Cosmic however, I have plenty of options for sci-fi space figures at this size, so the thirst is noticeably less. Plus, I'm just not as inspired by the Cosmic guys to customize them as I was with the Mythic stuff. The fantasy figures were actually kind of boring and generic, but made great bases to add simple new pieces of armor and accessories to and get something unique and personalized. Cosmic figures feel so specific and character focused, I just don't feel as much of a need to swap their parts and gear around.

I'll get the cool ones and build a nice little Space Pirate crew, but I'm not building armies of these guys like I did with Legions.

One thing I will give Cosmic credit for is right off the bat they're introducing a LOT of mold and character variety. Mythic had a lot of copy/pasting going on for it's first few waves, but Cosmic is playing that silhouette game and winning hard. These promo pics show off just how much variety is built right into the line from the start, as all eight of those figures each cut a unique shadow.

I do like that the story seems to be starting out with a much smaller focus then what Mythic had, but I agree that it would be annoying having to buy the same character over and over again. Hopefully they all include alt heads and you could just claim them as being different characters from the same alien species or something. With Mythic, they started making an intentional effort to include generic heads with unique figures to try and encourage troop building said unique figures, and it's a nice, simple way to get more mileage out of a figure. Not that I plan on army building from this line, but the option to do so is always appreciated.

I get you, I never really liked having two of the same character even if one was in a different outfit, though at least the two Olek's have different heads.

It's not unique enough to stand out against other sci-fi universes, but they aren't generic enough that you can do whatever you want with them the way Mythic is.

Starting with Space Jail as the main setting probably didn't help.

the designs are mostly generic but there are some stand outs like Slogg, Olek, Kanoxx, snek and the ayy lmao really hit the spot for me and I've been starved for a space line that actually focuses on aliens for years.
