And for the record, the only way to get mods to pay attention on this board is to insult them and tell them they're refusing to do their job. I don't think weapon storage is "essential" if we're including the sort of storage that SS86 Hot Rod has. SS86 Wreck-Gar, Spinister, Blackarachnia, or Siege Optimus? That's alright. Certain figures will just have their weapon with them at all times, while others (presumably in their altmode) will have their weapon in a weapons pile or in a box somewhere. I hope this makes sense. An iconic weapon that they can't store is neat to have, as opposed to "bends/falls apart for ugly storage". Should there also be no weapon storage at all, no.

Steamroller? A bit indifferent to construction vehicles, but I know some people love steamrollers. I'm sure there's different kinds of trains like for work/maintenance that could be fun. I think satellite and bicycle have been done.
Maybe it'd be helpful if we listed altmodes we DO have..?

Uh, wrecking ball thingy. Oil rig? Oil rig!!!! I love stuff like Sky Lynx and Grandus (in theory) where it's like, BIG base for you. The mobile crawler thing in Fallout 3's Broken Steel DLC was really neat. Aircraft carriers too. Strange that some of my fave altmodes are "immobile rectangle/cube"..

Lazy thing would be to have it fold back and be back-heavy, or be a weapon. Could have it be cut in half and fold more compactly, and be the shoulders or forearms or a tidier backpack. Or its legs? Like a Gizmoduck sort of situation? Howitzer, I don't think there's many non-fictional artillery guys.

then you're left with huge spindly skeleton arms that are basically like giraffe limbs with a huge long spindly finger on each. best case scenario they could fold up and become decorative, akin to Big Convoy's tusks. but they're like 40% of his body, with another 55% being the head and then a small torso and legs. i think quetzalcoatlus hind legs are larger than, say, pteranodon, but..

What do you mean, "passable fun" or "literally me doing aerobics would yield a more convincing altmode"? Ironworks is my go-to floating oil rig/etc guy, to give him some autonomy, independence, and importance. Only got 1 Ironworks and 1 Airwave though, couldn't really get a megabase made with them, even after getting over the big hurdle of "fraternizing with the enemy"...

Atatatata, careful..! The temptation might be to "make a square that looks like neither an oil rig nor an energon refinery, a la some Siege altmodes. But place a designer legitimately passionate about Transformers to make a neat design fitting for lore and comics, wahoo we're in business. And maybe a remold or please a different mold enemy who's a smelting pool? Or another energon processing building, end up using each mold twice like for the base guys (for mainline retail), might be cool..
