LA and NYC cops were always considered to be corrupt, but outside of that I feel like it wasn't a widespread impression. The numerous scandals of the last decade, bodycams, etc. have blown the whole thing wide open.
>>9654154This is becoming less and less true since the good cops are getting drummed out of the force. People who speak up against corruption get harassed, ignored, mistreated, or straight up fired, which just leaves you with a disproportionate number of bad apples.
