>>9655502Third parties are pretty much all Chinese companies, and I kinda doubt they have nostalgia for these (or even know what they are at all). The first McDonalds in China opened in 1990, which meant they definitely missed the first two waves of Changeables in the late 80s. They COULD potentially have gotten the last wave, which came out the same year that McDonalds opened, but I am doubtful that they would roll out Happy Meals with toys so soon. It was the country's only McDonalds, and it was opened within a special economic zone in Shenzen where there were like only 300,000 people living. So even if they DID fast-track it and release these there, the customer base was very small.
Basically, there is no reason for China to want to produce these, and I imagine sales would be awful if they did. Even if the US, you need to take Transformers fans, then subdivide that group into "people who remember these" and then by "people who buy third party" and then "people who are willing to pay upwards of $70 for a gimmicky novelty that references a short-lived fast food toy campaign." I imagine you'd get a lot of people who are like "haha, I remember that" and then like, two people would actually buy them. Don't get me wrong, it would be awesome, but it's just not even a slight possibility.
