>>9713590>My Royales have the glossy (gold), matte (blue), and carbon texture ('rough' areas) sections. Definitely not totally glossy.I was talking about the gold parts, on the original model they are in blue plastic and the parts are broken up in different textures, glossy, matte and rough, all on different areas of the same piece of plastic. On the Royale version it's covered with the gold paint and all of that detail is lost.
It's a small detail but I prefer the classic model for it.
>Both my Meteor and Orbit Royales have hop-up tabs. The Orbit is situated further back, but it's definitely there. Maybe older Orbits lack this feature. My Orbit doesn't have a hop-up, but my Meteor does.
I looked up some reviews and mods, looks like it's a very small lip on some models and some models don't have it at all, probably has to do with the series. There are mods to add a silicone hop-up and so on.
Buying tip for any Germanfags in here. Muller stores have Chaos blasters, classic and Royale, under their "Toy Place" store brand, much cheaper than originals retail for. They have weaker springs due to German's regulations on projectile toys, but it's easy to replace and upgrade.
