Does anyone else not get why people buy mutiples of one car? I don't have family who wants one, or have a defected car that doesn't roll good, or given one by family who isn't aware of which I have. I think buying a few Hot Wheels or Matchbox to trade is stupid. They're already difficult to find and are stocked awfully nowadays. Just buy one and look somewhere else if you want to trade. Customs I understand, not ten but at least 2 or 3. It's ironic how Hot Wheels I've had more trouble finding this year compared to Matchbox, and both brands are great and highly collectible right now.

I only bought 2 of the Kia Stinger colors because I'm a cringe fan of their designs and always wanted to see Kia diecasts. Will do the same for the Matchbox Seltos. No one likes Kias so theyre pegwarmers and easy to find.

So yeah, I picked this one from Wal-Mart because they restocked the cars. Surprisingly, the Coupe Clip is lighter (& thinner) than I expected. Also got this Barbie Camper, too.

Basically a keychain clip. Like those knick knack customs where someone screws a keychain hook into a car. Difference is this lacks wheels and relies purely on the novelty alone. I hate that because you could just hide the wheels under the base out of sight. The shape of the car is gorgeous though.

Wish there was a better way to ship diecast. We would probably see more sellers with cheap stuff as well as more buyers if single loose cars didn’t have a $5 shipping charge. Sure you can bundle, but that just pressures you into buying more.

I theorized some kind of Amazon storefront, and you packaged each car like an old school matchbox, but idk how that would actually hold up in shipping. And you would need a massive catalog of cars to sell to make the effort worth it which probably isn’t feasible

I bought the Bronco to steal it Wheels & I pulled the Range Rover out my storage unit for the same reason.

The realizing how much I spent & pristine the Bronco is & how hard the RR is to find. I couldn't go through with it.

Could be. It's an old casting, had a ton of releases in 1970, then was retired until the 2009 anniversary release. The opening engine hatch makes it hard to mistake for another car.

I should probably write a list of the hot wheels I plan on collecting, it's probably around 10 or so, I just got the first one a Mercedes Benz 500e, next month I'll get a '98 Subaru Impreza 22B STI-Version but I haven't yet decided if the 2021 dark blue version with STI printed on the fog lights or the 2020 with the classic blue. I think the 2020's rims look better but it also costs $7 vs $5 for the 2021 here, I also find the STI print kinda rice-ish but the darker blue would look nice next to my black benz

I like the R33 but they only sell it in the ugly purple here :(

Bubble wrap, several layers. Then secure it with sticky tape around the outside - NEVER use any sort of adhesive around the car as it'll strip the paint and leave residue.
Then put the bubble wrapped car in a small cardboard box surrounded by paper shavings/peanuts, and tightly seal the box with packing tape. You can send multiple cars in this manner.

That aztec pattern looks really awkward. Really my favorite thing about the Vengeance is the size, which is hard to get across in 1/64, and the weird floating bridge looks better when there's a starfield showing through it. Shame Eaglemoss hasn't made an XL version of it yet.

There’s two things you have to do for it to not make you look like a giant dork. First, you have to go all in and cover the car top to bottom with a design. It’s up to you what the design is, but it’s a commitment you can’t half ass otherwise it looks awful. The second thing is doing it to a car that actually has some performance to back up pulling everyone’s eyes to it. If you do it to your moms Camry you will get laughed at everywhere. If you do it to a twin turbo JDM legend people respect, at least some people will like it.

At the end of the day it’s your car to do whatever you want with, but itasha is an extremely fine line.

Here’s an example done right. Notice how much of the car it takes up. The car also has various visible mods like the wheels and flares, which shows the owner isn’t purely a weeb and does have at least one other practical interest
