Slug: Triceratops head doesn't lock-in properly without pushing it too far down, had no sword, and the hand/foot peghole on the bottom of the robot mode feet broke too easily.
Sludge: Dino head had no proper configuration in leg mode, had no sword, same hand/foot peghole problem as Slug.
Snarl - Little to no articulation in dino mode compared to Slug and Sludge, unpainted clear sword, bad hips in robot mode
Swoop - Loose hips in robot mode made for a weak arm, shins couldn't stay connected in arm leg or dino mode.
Grimlock - no weapons, undersized lower half, badly proportioned dino mode, gold body couldn't stay tabbed together in dino mode
Volcanicus - holy shit this was awful. Unstable as hell, no actual hip/waist assembly to hold together, gangly as fuck, wide shoulders made it too top heavy.
Upgrade kits were the only way to save this combiner, and even then those had problems, such as the Perfect Effect one not being able to stand upright because the reconfigured grimlock legs forced the tail bits forward and pushed against the topmost bits of every limb dinobot. And even with the giant ass sword, there was no way to get the combined mode to actually hold it upright without some kind of support.
