I don’t really get this. This is the same universe where Tony, Pepper, and Rhodey were all on screen at the same time. The same universe where we’ve had three Captain americas. I don’t think two (radically different, appearance-wise) characters sharing the same power set would “confuse” audiences. Seems like they just had an issue with stretchy powers, maybe, which doesn’t bode well for Mr. F.

I just want something other than a straight repaint of the 80th mold (which we’ve gotten six times now). Professor Hulk with a tank top, laser guns, and bunny slippers. Worldbreaker Hulk, with swords and armored bits. Skaar. Something new please.

I’ve done this successfully for Kingpin, Juggernaut, Monster Venom, Archangel, most of the “improved” rereleases. I never get less than 90% of the scalper prices before the bubble pops and everyone unloads. I already sold my Lizard and Rhino recently.

Hobby’s expensive enough as is, if I can clear a 2x profit on a BAF four years later, I’m going for it. I consider scalping to be artificially limiting product, aka buying up all the retro Spidey’s once they hit shelves and selling them later. I’m just sticking to aftermarket prices, which naturally go up over time. At least, that’s how I justify it to myself. I know not everyone sees it that way.

Did the first coat of paint on the Dazzler chest I got in for my Black Widow kitbash, happy so far. Gonna do another and seal it. Body has some white to it because I just took it out of it's boil to swap the chest.

He thinks Silk is bad because she’s an Asian spider person. Which is ultra dumb, since she consistently sits at $40+ on eBay and she won the character poll, and her series was actually pretty good. The real spider character getting pushed is Spider Gwen, she pops up everywhere, over the seven other female spider people that were around for a decade before she showed up.

Oh shit, I never even noticed Shriek was pinless. I want to see more of this, stat. The pins are one of the ugliest parts of MLs and the biggest gap between them and imports. Modular IM can almost pass for a more expensive line thanks to the super glossy plastic that mimics metallic paint and the pinless tech.

They're still trying to milk their old molds, and it's frankly a mistake. Start fresh with some new pinless bucks, use them as much as possible, introduce more body types ASAP.

I honestly sorta suspect that in a few years, when we've got nothing but D-listers left to make, Hasbro will use pinless (maybe in combo with another small advance, like toe joints or ball waists) as an excuse to remake the same cast we just got done with, like Jim Lee X-Team, the whole Spiderverse, etc.

This is it as far as comic book Ock’s go for at least half a year after it gets released. Raimi Ock is still possible though. 60th anniversary of Spidey this year, wouldn’t be surprised if they revealed a movie version in a few months.

A toy store I popped into recently had one of these on hand. The owner was messing with it and couldn’t keep it to himself how much he liked it. I didn’t handle it myself, but he told me it weighed around 3lbs, had a bunch of die cast in it, and had a lot of ratcheted joints to support its weight. Looked pretty amazing. And humongous.

The hair isn't great and don't expect an import coomer fig and you'll be happy. She's basically one of the curvier ML except the Moonstone body. I'd take a pic but I finally got her in a pose I like and I don't wanna redo it and it be lesser.

This is worlds better than the horrible original release, but it's still not a great figure. It has a terrible hoodie sculpt, with the worm hoodstrings and weird divots in the stomach to accomodate the belt capsules. It's also on a bad base body. And couldn't they at least spring for some soft plastic rings to go around his shoulders to represent the ragged edges of the hoodie?

The old one definitely has a janky-ass body, it's terrible to look at, but the head is better. It's a more heroic, understanding Cap, the type that would beat up bad guys all day then come home and rescue your cat from a tree. He's also got a jaw that would make the Crimson Chin cower in shame.

They're still using high pressure injection molding, so there's no reason for that detail to not exist. That shit has been used since at least the 80s and the only reason toys looked like dull playdoh before is because no one thought to put more effort into them, until McFarlane showed everyone it could do better.
Even with plastic types, there's no reason for that detail to be low. Most modern plastics are better than what we used to have, even the silicon rubbery shit.

If i were to guess, digital sculpting and rapid prototyping has skewed the perception of what the toy will really look like. Before, everyone was done by the eye and they basically guessed at how sharp the detail could be. Now the roughness of prototypes makes them enlarge the detail to make it more visible, since 3d printers are still shit and they don't want to clean up the prototype better.

I believe Jubilee doesn’t have anything new. Her heads are the TRU head from the BAF years ago and one of the ones from the Caliban wave, even if the glasses have been painted differently.
