>>9688183Actual reason:
Retards are stupid and can't move on. All these vintage collectors are desperate for anything new and will pay thousands of dollars just for the last drop of dopamine.
Bionicle fans are the cringiest example of this. Instead of just accepting that the toyline happened and is over, they've kept it on life support by trying to get greg to do literally anything. Finally greg leaves lego and there are still people coping, by saying that the new lego rep will be some kind of savior for the franchise.
In micheals deranged mind, vintage star wars is still top game, and can't be beat, when nearly every current year figure is better. Top game right now for building toys is bandai kits, and top game for action figures are mafex and figuarts. Normal people would just move onto those lines, but nostalgiafags are desperately clinging to the past
>they still sell 3.75In all my years of collecting i've maybe seen vintage star wars on pegs twice. Its largely online exclusive. The only exception is the new movies. I haven't even seen mando figures. This line is dead and hasbro keeps it around as a tax write off (true story btw)
So my advice for people is just to leave after things go south. There will always be a line of sci fi fantasy or robot action figures. If theres not you can collect another line for a few weeks (although gundam, soc, and robot damashii never stopped). Theres no use crying on a board of 15 people about how the company doesn't care about your fandom or whatever.
I had to leave power rangers, because hasbro made no attempt to fix the lightning collection, and a year later they re-introduce sentai figuarts. I'll gladly pay 80$ for one gokaiger over completing my zeo team. I'm even aware bandai will get too ohranger/zeo if i'm paitient
Tldr:
Grow up. Stop collecting star wars and bionicle. buy gundam
