Cheaper companies for human dolls would be ResinSoul or Bobobie for resin- and for vinyl dolls there's always Obitsu/Parabox. You can put together a 1/6 Obitsu girl for under $100 USD, probably, but you may not want a tiny anime-style doll. General rule of thumb I go by is this:
Expect to spend at least $300 USD on a doll, accessories, and shipping by the time you're checking out. It might be less! It could just as easily be more. But $300 is a good target to aim for when starting out, and gives you a wide variety of options to pick through.
