My revoltech EVA 01 from nearly a decade ago is starting to show some wear and I think its time for an upgrade. I want a large scale one to show off her size and make her look like a centrepiece. Is the threezero the way to go?

if you want scale, the Dynaction is a solid piece and significantly larger than the Threezero.

It really does. They really do look just like a giant Mafex and Robot Damashii...except I had the Mafex and sold it off because it felt cheap and floppy so I'm sticking with the RD.

I have a RAH Unit 02 on sale for $300 shipped. (MSRP was 299 and it is going to cost $60-75 to ship inside the states. Nonsmoker, only took it out of the box twice, no pets, it is the reissue so the rubber or latex is really fresh from 3.3+1.1 launch. I would never sell it but I'm trying to save up for lens replacement for my eyes.

I've owned quite a few EVA 01 figures over the years and the Threezero is easily the best. It also comes with the best awakening head out of any of the EVA 01s released thus far.

Threezero feels 110% more quality and sturdy than the Dynaction but articulation wise, feels more rigid, way less dynamic. Unit 02's head barely fucking moves and basically can't look to the side unless there's and extra joint that's way too tight, unfortunately doesn't seem to be the case.

I had the first Revo, Mafex, Dynaction, Robodou, Robot Damashii and RAH.

Robodou is the best product overall, espacially in terms of quality/finish. Robot Damashii is the most poseable.

The rest is really not up to par.

is there really that much difference at this point? i've recently picked up a few hg gundam models, and they're pretty much on par with RD figs, at least articulation wise.
also, the RD eva 01 still holds up IMO.

Yup, you're right. I can afford all the RDs + all the 3Z ones but not the cheaper and way way shittier Dynaction (which I actually did po, receive, put on sale for half its release price two days after reception and had to wait for like 6 months before it sold because literally nobody wanted it).

I posted the two pictures and I mostly agree. Best sculpt and articulation, finish sucks balls and I have little scratches on the black parts of the arms. Feels like the legs will buckle under the weight or the knees will bow from being so weak. Doesn't sound like you have the Threezero figures, I am not a fan of the tiny RDs myself.
