I used to use a little space heater. It was quieter and warmer than most hair dryers. If you must use a hair dryer then get a Dyson.

Only with a controlled heating pad to regulate temp. Flame or microwave, you can't reliably control anything.

I use a cheap 3-setting hair dryer for basic stuff, heat gun(I'd suggest one with settings, mine is a cheapo craft tool with only 1) for stress marks or anything that needs the extra heat.
