unless there's some incredible coincidence, you're still going to have to use most of the molds if you want to get the legs
and the way injection molding works, every piece on the mold is connected. so unless they planned this out so that all the leg parts were on one side of the molds, so they could put like, stoppers in there to stop the plastic from flowing, it's going to be creating the whole mold every time.
now if what you think you're saying is that they simply copied part of the old mold to make a new one, then that isn't really saving much money at all. creating a new version of an old mold still costs fucktons of money. it means new actual forged metal and shit.
