I always find funny how the lego community loses their shit when someone buys a chinese version.

This is a particular pet peeve of mine as well. Even if you are a devoted Lego fanboy pretending that buying bootlegs (or even straight up stealing sets from the store) affects them in any way is ridiculous.
I'd even encourage people to buy the fakes because Lego has been inflating the price per brick tremendously while reducing the quality. Why the fuck does a single minifigure with ~20 piece microfighter cost $15?
Not only that but in some countries Lego prices are double their US retail price, while their paychecks are a quarter of the average US salary so the only way for them to buy a Lego set for a reasonable price is through bootleggers.

Ive dropped collecting lwgo entrely. The part to price ratio is so skewed that even tiny basic lego sets are unaffordable. I've actually gone to collecting gundam instead because its cheaper. Gundam shouldn't be cheaper than lego.
