We're all in the same hobby, yet i never bought any of Mattel's shitacular efforts. I got close to buying the Harley Quinn way back when she was recently released, going for rape prices on ebay, pushing her in my cart at Kmart while i shopped for other shit. Yet i left her right before the cashier box, because of that stupidly blue face, that generic fat woman face, that awful hip engineering, and that skinny fat body.
Why buy DISAPPOINTMENT? It would have been a waste of money, when i KNEW there would be more efforts made in the future. Sure, it happend a decade later, but it's better than having a toy that was outdated 5 years before it was even released. Better to waste my money on something i actually like.
People like you are why Downies have children.
BTW, i still don't own a Spiderman toy. There's so many Spidermans made every single year, by like a dozen different companies, that i choose to wait until something is actually perfect (or near enough). Pizza Spiderman? Meh, too cartoony. That Mafex Spiderman? Pass, because the shading was unnatural and the plastic too toy-like. I regret passing on that Mezco Spiderman though, because i saw the previews for it and it had too much "mezco flair" but seeing it posed here on /toy/ filled me full of regret. i chose not to pay secondary rape prices when it wasn't too rapey, because why pay $105 when they're just going ot make another one eventually for not-$100+?
ok, that's a lie, i do own a single Spiderman toy, and that is Toy Biz's Superhero Showdown which has the perfect Bagley body. But it's 1:18 and i need one in 1:12 scale too.
