>>9773765As long as you keep parroting this dumb bullshit I'm gonna keep posting this rebuttal:
I used to be vocally anti-BBTS because their prices seemed ridiculously inflated. This is no longer true because of how the shipping landscape has changed. SAL is gone and it's never coming back. Comparing a Figma at HLJ and BBTS now, BBTS came out to only $9 more after shipping, and since they get their releases after all the Japanese webshops and have free cancellation, you have lots of time to determine whether a figure is good from the reviews and then cancel before BBTS even gets their stock in. This is in contrast to the Japanese webshops, who often charge you before the reviews can even roll in.
Of course, your mileage may vary. Both systems can be good or bad for you depending on how many figures you buy at a time, if you use the private warehouse, etc. But just comparing single figures, BBTS doesn't cost that much more anymore, they tend to put up their listings much later and they stick around longer so you don't need to do the whole preorder night thing, and international shipping is set to increase even more later this year so the price gap will only get smaller.
If you buy import toys, now is the time to find a local shop that can spread their costs out more evenly, the days of making small single orders from Japan are numbered unless you're wealthy enough to just throw money around.
