On the minus side, I don't like the colors of the Ayuma witch wagon. I was very excited when the original cancelled Everdreamers one was first announced, but I think I'll pass on these colors and hope for another retool in the future.

Man, I haven't kept up with Playmobil of lately because I've been distracted by so many other toylines (sometimes I wish I was one toyline autismo)....
I want the Bat Fairy ruins as home for my alchemist and witch couple (and there are previous Ayuma which I haven't even got yet), the Merchant Carriage from novelmore and maybe the Dragon Attack as well and the licenseshit Knight Rider car , it's so cool and so expensive...

Thanks. The original idea for the picture was to see how Playmo scale with Black Series—I noticed that they work pretty well with Figmas—but I couldn’t get Jar-Jar to hold the cup for the picture. I’m probably going to take another picture like it soon.

someone asked about blind bags; I got 5 of em in the store earlier. They were 2 britbong each so not quite 2 yuro 50.

things got off to a rocky start with what I can only describe as an eastern scammer peddling vouchers on the street and being a nuisance with his loudspeaker. There are nubs left on the hands and the bandana didnt fit snuggly but it feels solid once built if not just a fraction looser than your average playmo.
We then got a ribbon dancer, the current girl series has a fair few really neat ones and this ain't really it. it came with two leaflets for some reason.
We pogged our rocks off with this awesome gargoyle man picking things up, great figure for 2 quid, the best of the lot. came with two heads and I'm not quite sure if thats a mistake or part of their 'mix and match' meme theyre trying to push. he's sick in any case.
ribbon dancer two because I don't feel through the packages because I'm a retard. she has a spare arm, again not sure if its intentional.
finally kendo man which is very cool, playmobil doesn't often do eastern themed stuff so its nice to have, I really like the helmet and gloves but if he tries to bow too low he topples in shame.

I'm impressed overall, I give a tentative recommendation as for the price you're getting a full ass playmo. Depends what you do with them I guess.

Just got the 70903 magic merchant wagon. Like other Novelmore sets it's more expensive than one would like, but it's pretty cool. The rooftop canon feature takes quite some interior space and I'm not entirely feeling it. On the other hand, the side compartment has a neat magic trick I didn't know about!

I was so surprised getting a Gargoyle that looked so cool and the blindbag was much more cheap than lego + you get a bigger figure and acessories that can be used with other figures!

here's a few more, the indian princess head doesnt sit flush which is either because of her weird body part or a just a bad mould not sure.

I got some scooby doo ones to go with my new mystery machine and the black knight has this claymore I haven't seen on other playmos before, but maybe I'm just uncultured.

really I'm just tryna cop the valkyrie or the shinobi but kind of cursed luck recently.

I just bought the large 70745 Violet Vale Mage Tower for 50€ in a local toy shop. They are doing that with a few lines now, Dino Rise, Ayuma, Duck on Call... they did it with Super 4 in the past... there's the Playmobil movie...

Yep, it's funny because I paid the full regular 60€ for the wagon, so it ended up being the most expensive. It seems that these more-expensive-than-usual Playmobil sub-lines (Novelmore, Ayuma, licensed vehicles...) tend to get discounted to more traditional prices sooner or later.

Although I'm a fan of Asterix I somehow don't feel the need to collect the line in a dedicated manner, like mandatorily getting the main characters and stuff, or don't want to get into that rabbit hole. I'm buying the bard's home as soon as I see it in a store because it so cool and unique, but other than that I'll wait and see. I'm somewhat interested on the chief's home, but it will have serious competition with generic medieval houses being rereleased regularly for half the price (yeah, different time period, I know).
Also, the fish dealer and the blacksmith are suspiciously absent so far and both have iconic homes in the comics, so they might be planned for building sets in the future and I should probably plan ahead for what I may want to buy.

It's the 70539 Burnham Raiders Ruins set. I think it was theoretically exclusive to the German catalogue, but after a while it seems it's been quietly distributed in all or most European countries without being featured in their catalogues or even the Novelmore sections of their webstores (because it's blander than other sets and a rehash, I guess, explained below). I noticed it in the German official store first, and then I bought it from the Spanish one when it appeared there like a year later. A number of non-official stores are selling it as well.

It's a rehash of an older set, the 4435 Barbarian Ruin, now with Burnham deco and figures. Looking at the original, I'm going to order the climbing plants that were included with it next time I do a purchase from the official store, as spare parts (I guess the Burnham bandits burned them in this version cause they are not included).

I agree, it is a shame. I binged eighty percent of the videos on his Jangmobil channel recently. I’ve been desperately looking for English-speaking alternatives and haven’t found much: dead channels from a decade ago, actual kids filming themselves unboxing a set, family channels that get sent stuff, and ETC.

All the Playmobil stuff I got this month, didn't buy all of them at the same time, but definitely in very short intervals.

There was a discount so I got two Special; the first is 70881- Mermaids which are very cute and pretty (now I have three mermaid girls!) , I really like the new articulated mermaid and merman molds Playmobil made, I think they should try make one giant fantasy theme with different species or go back to having a unique theme for one species like they did the dwarfs Knights and the mermaid Magic. The second set 70379 -Fairy Researcher had such beautiful and magical scenery which also quite Victorian and I'm fond of. I was disappointed by how the girl skirt is very rubbery, I fear it won't last for long, also unfortunately the box was completely and I couldn't find another, but in both boxes got smashed in my trip, lol.

I also finally got 5573-Mother with Twin Stroller which I wanted for a long time, but I hated the thick eyebrow mom (she is an uggo) and wanted it only for the cute twin babies and the stroller, luvkily they were on discount too.

The last set is 9833 - Polar Bear Family. I live in a shithole that doesn't have official Playmobil store so my main options were the 9056 which is expensive and I just want the polar bears or the upcoming Wiltopia one that doesn't have painted blue tongue which is trash and shame on Playmobil. So I bought this set from private seller for fair price, it was SIB which is great 'cause it's completely new. However, the geniuses at Playmobil UK put a stupid and shitty blue paper inside the bag which result in blue spots all over the bears, I had to use acetone to remove it. In addition, one cub had black spots all over his face and neck which I also removed by acetone. Despite all that I'm very happy to own it.

Seeing that you like fairy, city and kids I was going to suggest 6891 Night Walk which I plan to buy next time I decide to make a purchase from the web store as it is a Playmobil Plus thing, but if you've got no store you might not be able to get it cheap. I've seen this set in stores, might be even quite recently despite being an old one.
It's a very cute set, but not exactly my cup of tea. I think my main issues are that the forest isn't scary enough, there isn't a lot of going with the blacklight feature (no new details) and I just hate the girl's outfit. But its not a bad set by any means.

I found out that collecting Playmobil is almost as chill as collecting model kits, meaning usually the stock stay for a very long time and the prices are affordable. Even second market is quite reasonable; the polar bears and other set (6852), that I got in different occasion some time ago, which was re-released through Playmobil Plus, both weren't really expensive.

Not that Anon; I don’t own any TVC figures, but I do have some old Star Wars 3.75 inch toys. Personally, I think playmobil accessories work well with both three inch and six inch toys. The only problem is getting them to hold stuff. Furniture/vehicle can also kinda work on a case-by-case basis.

It depends. Since Playmobil figures don't have realistic proportions, their accessoried don't have a consistent scale.

Furniture and buildings tend to be smaller than 1/18, as they scale to figure height (like the counter seen in the other anon's pic).
Objects scaled to the torso and arms, such as medium size tools and some food may scale well with 1/18 (the bottle). Vehicles may scale well since the figure has to fit in a sitting position, but there usually will be no space for normal-size legs.
Objects scaled to the head and hands, such as hats, smaller tools and some food may even scale well with 1/12 figures (the soft drink)!

Some of the new sets look really nice but the prices are insane. I'd like to have this as just a cool Asian style castle, but the actual castle part is just a few walls with virtually no detail, and the rock section looks reused from 4835. It looks nice from the front, but £190? I also noticed they've increased prices on older sets as well just like Lego has, the cargo ship has gone up by £30-40. I only ever buy from the website when they have sales but even with 30% off I couldn't justify these prices.

I looked it up; apparently bones are normally a brownish color while in a living thing, but end up being white because they get bleached by the sun. I can totally see the gray skeleton lurking in some dark, dank, forgotten cave.

This was my order tonight for the sale. My kids like Playmobil, but I think I'm starting to just as much or more. We have lots of Novelmore, historical, circus (my favorite), some hockey figures, and a couple of Ayuma sets.

Probably bad for the environment, and probably also pretty expensive to make too, compared to just grey plastic.

While it looks great on promo pics like that one above, that chrome paint would rub off during daily play so easy.
I had several pieces with barely any chrome left on them, in both Playmobil as well as Lego.
Looks awesome if you put it onto a shelf as an adult, but for a kid to play with its just wasted effort (and i guess thats the main reason both companies dropped it)

I've been thinking and saying that for years, that Playmobil should give the black figures regular face like their white figures and saving additional paint cost instead of those horrible derpy/crazy eye look they've doing since ever. I've still seen some new clickys with the old horrible face, but I hope it's in decline and this will vecome the new standard for black clickys.

Shame I don't any of these figures/sets, but I'm still very happy to see that.

Gladiators and Barbarians/Vikings/Celts are nice because they can fit into other themes such as Novelmore or medieval as a headstart if you eventually get into them.
On the other hand Egyptians are very cool as a contemporary regular army.

I'm looking forward to 70949. I wish it was cheaper (it's tagged 50€, and previous Greek themed sets have not been discounted in the past), but it looks fantastic.

Oh shit, it's a horrible looking Alicorn deertaur!
Wtf they were thinking?! What's with this terrible lazy mold?! They should've put the torso in the very beginning of the neck and not near the end of it! Also, why would girls want an alicorn deertaur of an old man?! It's such a shame, because the new faun mold is great.

There not a lot of new sets that I want which is great, because I still need get some older ones.
I think it's very weak lineup overall compare to previous years.

Started watching Playmobil’s YouTube shorts. Leaves a lot to be desired, but it gets the job done. After watching the Space series I went search for Astropov (the girl with brown hair) because I liked her accent, so despite my problems the shorts are effective.

I can’t remember the exact set, it was either a small cowboy or knight playset (picture related). I do remember how I got it, though; I won it at Chuckecheese. It was five hundred tickets and wanted it a lot because Playmobil didn’t exist outside of Toysrus—my parents hated driving me there because it was far away. I played that ball game where you have to roll it upwards, trying to get it a series of holes of increasing value as you went up; not sure what it’s called. What matters is I played that game for hours to grind tickets and got it before I left. Unfortunately, I sold it during middle school.
