>>9774857I decided to invite my friends over to me house since I hadn't seen them and hung out with them all together for quite a long time.
At one point in the night the topic of NFT's came up with a bunch of them revealing how much money they've either lost or gained from the whole thing. Once that came up the rest of the night consisted of surface level discussion about what stocks they also buy and the differences between that market and crypto as if they were regurgitating some YT video they saw.
Then they mentioned the pops they own with one of my friends saying that he owns about 200 and follows the "pop market" to know when to sell.
The rest are also toy collectors too and some mentioned how they don't want to open new toys they buy as it will decrease it's value.
It was so fucked seeing my friends talk about the most souless shit and obsess over money making trends that have spread like cancer and made everyone even more obsessed with artificial bullshit.
It kinda sucked sitting there drunk at that point having pretty much nothing to say as I don't know any specific ins and outs concerning pops, nfts and stocks and just listen to them drone on about cancer.
I fucking hate this planets obsession with money.
