They're able to do this because the board is slow and because there is little to no moderation here.
It doesn't help matters that some people fall for the bait, there's a debate to be had if the trolls are replying to their own posts or not but regardless, if people just filtered comments (which is easy to do due to their limited vocabulary) and reported obvious trolling it wouldn't be as bad.
Some threads are pretty much unusable such as the McFarlane and NECA threads because people keep replying.
Oh and another problem is, whenever something political happens spergs rush here to make posts about it, this isn't a /toy/ exclusive thing but thanks to that lack of moderation it goes unchecked and can completely detail a thread.
