I know it's got flaws, but I think my favorite thing is that it embraces them, and spreads them equally across all modes, and thus achieves a better balance and feels like a better overall toy; no one mode feels like shit for the sake of the other two, but rather it feels like all modes are making compromises to give you THREE modes. The biggest flaw is how fuck-ugly the Hasbro versions were, between the shitty semi-translucent gray plastic on Megatron to the abysmal dollar-store quality stickers on both. The G2 Megatron repaint is exquisite, though.
I know people STILL have a boner for Generations Springer/Sandstorm, and it is a great mold, but I think TR Blitzwing does a better job of balancing compromises and being fun to transform between any two modes. It's one of those toys I can't look at without wanting to pick it up and do a mode change; the way it compacts into a little tank brick, or unfurls into a jet is very satisfying.
