This is a scam. No one is paying that much for a pop. What is happen is an auction site or some collector paid Kotaku to write this article to stir up other collectors to rush into buying shit up and also demanding higher prices for rare ones. This is all to boost the prices of the first collectors items so sell later for really high. In a few months you will see the first half million dollar pop and then million some time after. It will be the same person or group that paid for this article "selling" to the same person.

The willy wonka 2 pack is still the rarest that can be obtained by anyone rich enough. I wasn't talking ones especially made for specific people, because that wouldn't be a fair comparison. I don't really collect funkos per say, if I happen to see one that's unique looking and doesn't look like a typical one then I will buy it. The masked worker from squid game is a pretty cool one for example. I want to get marty from back to the future in the yellow hazmat suit.
