I almost spent $700 on the moon studios trainbots, but I changed my mind blast second, so it's currently the hasbro sentinel. Most I spent all at once was 520 for the joytoy chaos warband and 3 havoc chaos marines.

I haven't spent that much money on any one figure because I'm the type that will wait forever for a good deal. Pic related is the most I think I ever paid for one figure. Got it in box for
10,950 yen (US$103.49). Not a bad deal really. Completed my Lightning figure collection so I was pleased as a peach.

The entire G1 Victory line are basically all super expensive nowadays, probably because they never really got popular. The only ones that are reasonably priced at the moment are Star Saber and Victory Leo. Even with the box they're not as expensive as the rest.

Fun story, I bought the official mp 36 megatron for 180 off of kapowtoys a few years back but it came missing the not lightsabre sword piece and its now a literall partsformer to transform it so iv also now bought the newly rereleased ko version too to have for each of his modes

I don't think they could have done the rings solid without it being very brittle. That said the 500 USD you're paying for is mostly for the look and size of the bot and planet mode.

It's also consistently selling for 1500 to 2000 USD in ebay alone.

Here's mine. I found an incomplete junker Deathsaurus for 40 dollars at a local thrift shop and fell in love with the line, so I decided to splurge on a mint one, and then try and get the other stuff from Victory. Painful, but very satisfying. There's something about the G1 chunkiness that really feels good in hand.

Not a toy but I spent $2K on an Amazing Spider-Man#1. I got it signed by Stan Lee and graded by CGC. It's easily the most expensive item I own.

My most expensive toy? Probably $150ish on the SoC Megazord. I have a pretty strict no $100+ toys although those two Marvel Legends Haslabs almost got me. I'm kinda mad I skipped Galactus but I just keep reminding myself I have no place to display a toddler sized action figure. Otherwise I haven't paid too far off from retail for most of my collection. A good portion, cheaper probably.

That's excellent, anon. Your Deathsaurus' box is in much better shape than mine, but I think the toy itself is in about the same condition. Mine has a very tiny chrome chip but that's it. The stickers are unused and there's zero paint chipping. All the paperwork. Super happy with mine and it's nice to see another anon who appreciates the mold as much as me. Have you ever considered getting Red Geist from the Brave Series?

I have that mold as a loose figure without the weapons too. It's fun but it doesn't have the same appeal as the original Deathsaurus.

My stickers are used as well, and I don't think it came with the paperwork, so it's not completely MIB. Still I'm just happy with having one with the box because even the packaging has so much soul in it. I'm usually good with just getting these figures loose, even my Liokaiser. But Deathsaurus was the only one who really drove me to hunt for a boxed copy, there's just something about the mold.

Having some of their other figures, I'm accustomed to handling them, but with that said, this combined vehicle mode was definitely really daunting. A good amount of feeling afraid of forcing things. I'm pretty sure I never got it 100% right even.

I actually did. Once I took the time to do it and tighten/untighten screws as I went along it wasn't too bad.

Now going from Dragon to Humanoid mode was a bit more daunting since you are accordioning it back together.

I sold my 4 inch nel X and regret it. The Kotobukiya model is fine but the nel face looked perfect. Vile needs more merch, Sigma too. I'm amazed nobody has attempted a robot master line of figures.

For me, it’s hard to make a toy worth the cost once it gets over $300. I just find that I’m not as satisfied with the final product compared with how much I spent. But there are two things that I am still happy with.

First is the S7 Snake Mountain. I see it as more of a display piece than a toy, which is probably why I don’t mind the $600 + $100 shipping price tag.

The other thing I’m still happy with is the Max Factory Big O, Duo, and Fau.

I know it’s three figures, but I see them as a set. All together they cost about $700 with shipping. (I can’t even imagine how horrible the shipping costs would be in today’s prices.)

I can’t think of another product that would get me to spend this much money again, so these will probably always be my most expensive.

Yeah. I wasn't collecting anything when Titans Return was new, I got him about two years ago. I don't regret getting him because I love my Wreckers but I had really been hoping to pay less. Fuckin' bid snipers.

This dude is the next-most expensive, paid just over $70. Worth it, he's a fun toy.

If it is any consolation, there is a 3rd party Unicron that is still getting rereleases for about $300. It arguably looks better than the haslab one and is not a shellformer (it had almost no kibble in robot mode, unlike the official one which has basically all of the planet’s surface hanging off the robot’s back), but it is significantly smaller than the official one.
Honestly, I wish I had both, but I am happy with the 3rd party.
