Every company makes concessions for "giving the fans what they want." McFarlane is flooding the market with repaints and pointless unmasked variants and reused parts. Hasbro, repaints, reused parts, cut paint apps, etc. Same with Mattel, same with Jazzwares, Jakk's, and on and on. Even Hot Toys does a billion repaints when they have the chance to. Costs have gone up, it isn't as easy to do every character of every thing unless that shit sells and sells. But you're stuck in your head, not reality, otherwise you'd know that.
