>>9858939I can forgive it being in ACT-MODE's weird ass pseudo-1/10th scale even if it meant that it looks completely weird next to the S1 Figma. I can forgive the lack of a poseable scarf instead of the static one the figure comes with. Hell I could even forgive GSC for delaying the fig for over half a year if it meant that It'd be a top notch figure once it actually released.
But when a figure that came out in 2022 feels like complete ass to pose compared to a figure of the same character from 2012 then there's something wrong. The moment ACT-MODE Hibiki dropped people in Japan who had bought it were not only complaining about the lack of articulation (Something kind of important for a character who fights in hand-to-hand combat) and pointing out flaws like why the fuck is the skirt a solid plastic piece that hinders leg articulation or why she barely has a 90 degree elbow bend, they were already dissecting it in order to figure out how they could improve the articulation. In order to get a decently posable figure, they went in and
>Cut part of the inside of the head>Cut part of the back of the neck>Hollow out the inside of the chest to allow the joint inside more room to move>Pull out the skirts and glue them back onto a small piece of styrene, then glue them back onto the figure>slice off part of the lower arm, then repaint it in order to allow for a slightly better elbow bend (Which needs to be painted over since the part you have to cut is is orange paint on a flesh-colored plastic piece) >Putting in an entirely new balljoint in the legs so that there's sort of a double-jointed knee>Hallow out the bottom of the leg for a better ankle pivotI had high hopes for this line since I thought we'd finally get figures of all six main characters after GSC dropped the license back in Season 1, but after seeing this I'm not looking forward to how they handle Chris despite her coming out in like a week, let alone the others.
