Saw a review of those new Micro Galaxy ships and I've mostly lost interest. The plastic they're using looks weird, like they forgot to add color to it. All those ships with decent sculpts just ended up looking cheap. These would be great if you have experience with paint, but out of the box they just look disappointing.

I just now finally got my package from the Pulse sale that was at the beginning of last month. Now that I've got the full bar I can work on replacing the doors and windows with non cardboard versions and repainting/weathering. Also scratch building some tables to fill out the space. I want to make the booth that Mando and Greef sit at too but I think I might be more motivated to do that if we get a season 1 Greef in TVC.
Speaking of projects, is Space Station Anon still here? Been a while since I've seen an update.

>>9883136 I read today her character was supposed to die but they rewrote it so she would survive. It doesn't make any sense though, because Vader has killed many for less than the many transgressions she made.
Anonymous
>>9883330 Vader is an inconsistent character.
Then again, this is a franchise that's major defining aspect- the force- has never been consistent, either. One minute Vader's choking someone over a subspace transmission, the next he's using his lightsaber because he forgot he can choke people form a distance. In terms of what Vader can do there is no reason to have Stormtroopers with him in battle but the writers can't keep shit straight with this badly-defined space magic that only does whatever the writer wants it to do at any moment.
Anonymous
Anonymous
>>9883136 I have a feel this was a product Disney wanted them to make and they threw it in Haslab because they knew it would flop. Speaking of Disney, I saw someone on Hisstank say Disney tells Hasbro how market their product since they bought SW. Does that rumor have an basis?
Anonymous
>>9883457 I mean they've had a pretty bad relationship ever since the Sequels started. We know Hasbro has complained about how they withold tons of information from them, fucking up a lot of their toy releases (Mando, Boba Fett, etc). With Obi-Wan, it appears they were more let in on what they could make...but at the cost of Disney dictating Reva, Reva, Reva, Reva, Reva.
Anonymous
>>9883460 Don't forget a major ep9 character that got pushed in merchandising yet was cut down to a few seconds of scree time in the final cut. It's typical of an IP holder to dictate what gets made though, Hasbro probably has little say & has had little say since even the Lucas days.
But I don't miss the glut of unsold toys from the prequel era. Walmart had 2 bins full of ep2 toys for $2 or less because they had too many that no one wanted at full price. Too many of them were gimmick-laden junk with missile-firing force powers, magnets that were too weak to do their job, springs & gears that didn't work right... a lot of it pre-posed trash.
Anonymous
>>9883501 what character do you speak of?
Anonymous
>>9883505 Not him but I imagine he was being hyperbolic, but characters that would fit that description are Zorii and Jannah. That’s not to mention the onslaught of randoms from the force awakens.
Anonymous
>>9883457 >Disney tells Hasbro how market their product since they bought SW. Does that rumor have an basis? Hasbro has mentioned it before and generally licensors always have say with what happens to their IP. In a smaller example, when GTP Toys/Spacewalls got officially licensed to make their Tantive IV set, Disney wound up being so controlling that it delayed and screwed up production so badly the guy eventually had to file for bankruptcy. He wasn't allowed to use the factory he had been using to make the Spacewalls sets, he had to use a Disney approved factory instead that he had no relationship with,. They wouldn't allow him to make the walls modular, which was the whole appealing thing about his products, because of their deal with Lego. And then they wouldn't even allow him to post news or updates about what was going on despite people putting down $200 for this set, so eventually people thought he was just scamming them. It's pretty ridiculous.

Anonymous
>>9890366 When you bid you put in a maximum bid. So let's say the current auction price is 20 dollars, the current highest bidder could well have put a bid at 1000, so let's say you put in 30, it'll then raise the current auction price to 31 (or whatever the increment is) automatically. Just got these in from Amazon. The left knee joint on one of the Mandos is like fused shut. I though it was just too soft from sitting out in the 112 degree desert heat but after cooling it down and trying to work it with no luck, I popped off the lower leg to get a better look at it. Took an exacto knife to it to try and separate the disc from the sculpt of the leg and it's definitely like welded through. >>9900993 >>9900995 Other than red being dark side, there's never been a consistent meaning to lightsaber colors. Hell, even that wasn't necessarily set in stone until 2002 when Lucas said that only Sith and other dark siders have red lightsabers, before then the EU gave red lightsabers to plenty of light side characters. KOTOR tried to assign a meaning to lightsaber colors (green being a consular Jedi, IIRC) but the problem with that is that a lot of characters in the movies don't fit into those KOTOR definitions. Lucas chose lightsaber colors almost purely for aesthetics, Luke only got a green lightsaber in ROTJ because green would show up better against the bright blue sky during the Sarlacc fight.

>>9901128 It hasn't been forgotten. Disney's current canon follows the same kinda thing, it's just an equal understanding of both sides of the Force which is why it's the rarest color. Blue sabers are for Guardians which are strong with wielding the Force and usually gifted duelists. Green is for Consulars who have a strong inner connection with the Force and seek deeper understandings with it. Yellow is for the Sentinels of the Force like the temple guards and for some reason Rey. Red is a mix between synthetic crystals or following the ancient Sith tradition of making a kyber crystal "bleed".

There's a ton of droids the Jawas had or even in Mos Eisley that have never shown up elsewhere despite mos eisly being a center hub from all across the galaxy.
Not to be "anti-D*sney" or anything, but each Sequel trilogy movie and show that we've gotten since Force Awakens has had a brand new droid in it that kind of takes away the established world building if new droids show up and then dissapear. I'm sure the PT did this too, but I can't think of anything off the top of my head.
So in-canon, the 19 years between Episode 3 and 4, we have had k2SO droids, Liea's CD player ladybug, the yellow NED dude, the droid from Solo, and now this rolling hard drive that have never been seen again once the battle of Yavin happened? Was Alderaan where the factories were for these robots?
I Like how in Mandaloran, Richard Simmons had pit droids working in her garage, and we saw R2 units doing different things that seem like a natural progression of how they would be used. (permanently in cargo lifts, speeders, etc)

>>9903317 Oh for sure, I strongly believe the biggest reason Rogue One 'works' is that it's a self-contained adventure - the main characters' arcs, hit or miss, feel like a clear start-to-finish that doesn't require any more backstory than what we got in the film. Giving them more context does nothing but clutter and cheapen what worked in the movie, and will only be a net negative to this part of the timeline by focusing on what doesn't benefit from more depth instead of things that would. A live-action rebellion show was a good idea, but centering it on Andor is a huge mistake.

Are the micro galaxy squadron TIE Fighter and Slave 1 available to pre order anywhere? I can't seem to find any links for them when I search.

>>9902951 The Cassian show is actually the one I think could potentially be the best. Mainly cause Tony Gilroy has openly talked about how he doesn’t give a fuck about Star Wars. They called him in to fix Rogue One, but before that he’s said he has no attachment to it. Which some people may not like, but I welcome it. Probably means there won’t be a bunch of shoehorned in callbacks and deepfaked nostalgia characters. It probably won’t tamper with beloved characters. Seems like it’s a clean slate. Not to mention he shot it on location so just from the trailer I can tell it looks better than any of the previous Disney Plus shows cause there’s real sets. It could also go horribly, I don’t really give a fuck about Cassian. But I think it has the potential to surprise a lot of people.

They didn't even bother to announce a single stupid tier bonus for this thing, did they? That amuses me.
