This is from a few threads ago and it focuses on my general issues with them but the section about Disney princess plushies is where it got personal.
"I actually really dislike squishmallows. Of course people can enjoy what they like but I don't get why they're so popular. Here's my perspective. First off the squish is to the extent that they barely have any form. I would not feel comfortable hugging one because they're so loosely stuffed. I'd constantly worry that it'd make it lose what little shape it already has.
Second, their appearance. Their shape is just so bland. Most of the time they have no arms or legs to play with there being only an oval and that's it. I find their faces to be boring too. Personally I don't even really see them as plushies. They're more like pillows or cushions to me.
I admit it's strange that I'm so detailed about disliking them but they made it personal when they made an absolute ABOMINATION of a Rapunzel plush. Just look at the picture. They turned detailed and layered hair into a flat unappealing mess. They turned her unique eyes into a flat color. Of course they downgraded the smile too. Official Disney princess plushies have the same shape among themselves but that makes sense because they're all humans. Despite that, they all still feel different in your arms from their hairstyles and other things. The nearly identical design in squishmallows despite them being so many different animals and characters just seems a bit lazy and cheap. It led me to realizing they're basically the funko pops of the plush world. The main similar qualities is that they're overly hyped and stick to the same formulaic appearance"
