An interesting proposition has been presented to me, and I thought I would ask for the educated and esteemed opinion of the elite hacker group known as /toy/.

I've never bought a bootleg figure before, but one of my friends has the entire, in box, Sailor Moon -Animation Color Edition- S.H. Figuarts set composed of the seven main girls. While I don't own any Sailor Moon figures, I do like the series quite a bit, and he offered to sell them all to me for only 50 USD total. The reason behind the low price? Each one is a bootleg. He knew that and apparently got them for absurdly cheap a while ago, and is offloading them now. Seeing pictures of them in their somewhat beat up boxes, they certainly look like Sailor Moon figures, but I can't make any real judgements on what their supposed quality would be like. So, my question to you lot is: Worth it? Or are bootlegs like this so terrible and fragile and it's not even worth it for the low price?
