I remember going to Boscov’s in the mid to late 2000s and their toy aisle was always a few years behind. Even up to 2008-9 they still carried Beast Machines toys. I remember always seeing Cheetor and going “wow those will never be sought after.”
And here we are. Beast Wars is the only Transformers series I like.

To be fair, that very episode pointed out he was already baldly injured, and instead of going into Stasis, he kept going until he broke beyond repair. The way I saw it, the other times characters were badly injured, stasis kicked in and the internal repair system started fixing what it could, while Dinobot disabled it all and then burned out several components so there was no way they could save him.

Come to think of it, Zoids had a similar situation.. if you damaged them enough, their computer systems would just crash, rendering them no longer dangerous (and potentially more valuable taken for your own faction) and thus only a rare psychopath would keep attacking a downed opponent

They're not two Transformers; they're two parts of a beast like Siege Horrorcons.
Unwitting Decepticon Beavis is an standard dual mode Transformer with additional super modes, switching between a space exploration vessel based on his appearance as a sperm in the movie and a flexible robot mode with three minor options: Butthead mode, Beavis mode, and Cornholio mode. He transforms between space and bot mode by the head of the ship splitting open and into panels that tab together to form a body and limbs. The tail turns into a katana. The panels for the shirt can tab in two directions to change the styling of the shirt and fold around the head for Cornholio mode.
Butthead obviously is the Titan Master. Look at any Titan Master and you can see that their asses already form a face. Like in Apeface's case, the "beast" face is the Butthead face. The robot face is the normal Beavis face, but if you flip the legs up and back Butthead's upside-down shirt is a tampographed screaming Cornholio face with the legs painted to help match what would be his blonde hair and blue shirt over his head, which connect to shifting plates on the normal Beavis robot mode.
Includes fire blast effects to recreate the opening scene from the movie.

I remember being the ONLY PERSON ON THIS PLANET that liked Retrax and everybody fucking laughed at me in TF-community.
And me having "weird choices in favorite characters" what made me leave TF-communities forever and eventually settle down in /tf/ here.

I remember that shitty video where some moron was cringing at Retrax and everybody was agreeing with him.

As a keep being alive i notice that there are so many times when the thing that considered lame/bad/failure can have a second chance to be accepted in the fututre by a completely new community.

It happened so many times with movies toys and videogames.
At least now i dont take it seriously when people hate things that i love.

There's a few that emphasize detail more, but Bandai's Dangomushi line is a solid pick with a focus on jointing, especially with ball-jointing for the legs. You can't go wrong with it.

I should note some waves either mix isopods with non-isopod animals, or have different wave focuses, like lizards or crabs.

I was only able to get my Soundwave by picking him up in a store and Soundwave was much easier to get if you ordered the Japanese version. Cosmos may not have either of those options.

NTA but speaking of, I gave into Prime day and got the Sideswipe and Skywarp duo, primarily for the Kingdom Sideswipe.

I'm disappointed. Compared to the Siege and the other redecos, this Kingdom mold feels way cheaper and plasticky.

Not sure if its the same for you guys, but does the United States have laws about items being placed on the wrong shelf with a different price tag? Where I'm from, if there's at least a few of them there, you can get the item for whatever price is listed below even if the price tag is for something else (unless the actual price tag is right next to it or something).

Unless it scans as not being in the system or not allowed to be sold before the street date, the clerks try to enforce the scanned price. Also, most big brick and mortar stores have price checkers littered around the store in case you find it on the wrong shelf.

Interesting, in Puerto Rico you can get it for that price no questions asked as long as its on that shelf, there's a few of them there (officially, 4-5 but most stores don't check for that) and the price tag isn't immediately close to it. Most stores don't have scanners either (Walmart, for example, expects you to use your phone for that even though that feature no longer works here since it shows you the price in continental United States). It showing up in the system for the correct price doesn't matter.

How did we end up with three different characters named Nightstick? Three different writers thinking they were being clever? Product designers recycling an evocative name for sales? If you put all three Sticks in a room, would it be like The Three Christs of Ypsilanti, with them fighting over their shared identity? Would any of them concede and take a new name? Anyway, I've dyed and will now repaint a Firebolt into a Nightstick for Cyclonus, which I guess means doing the same for Ricochet. I have a Blowpipe set to become Caliburst, too, I'm thinking a nice bright blue for the body and limbs, and a beigeish grey for the feet and barrel.

It's simple. Cyclonus and Scourge weren't sold as targetmasters so their partners went to Artfire and Ricochet. However, Japan misread Fracas's bio and thought his name was Nebulon. In Japan, there's no problem because there's no Nebulos there, but Hasbro changed Nebulon to Nightstick one time they brought over Ricochet. And now that they've done their own Artfire too, all three gun bots share the name. The three and Fracas are usually considered different characters but Beast Wars Uprising made a whole thing about Nightstick playing both sides then becoming a pirate nicknamed The Nebulon.

we've had a discussion about this: it seems there's more than one way to get "A transmetal 2"
megatron combined transmetalism with a decepticon spark and some lava, and ended up with this crazy body, so he decided to try to recreate it by using vok tech (which is what transmetalism always was) with .. his best attempts at some cybertronian science to equivalate the same decepticon spark energy.
Now, where he GOT the 'transmetal driver' from, we never got told. they didn't have time.
One assumes if he changed his machinery to autobot-spark-energy, he could have made something more similar to Optimal Optimus (a pseudo-TM2?) using his mad science. Maybe. it's like trying to figure out all the super saiya-jin forms, there's all these sub-forms and half-forms in between the big ones.

Optimus's wasn't related for sure, but Optimal wasn't a TM2.The Transmetal Driver was around the Ark when Megatron started turning in the lava tho. It would have made more since if it got left in the lava and Blackarachnia turned TM2 earlier.

Give him a wider stance, have the dragon head lashing forward, give the other arm something dynamic to do and he'll probably look decent. That's quite a claim to make, but maybe he will be idk. From what weve seen thus far, and that's not much, I stand by my first impressions of him. He looks really, really rough. Too lanky and the head looks wierd, looks more like bwii galvatron. Maybe he'll look better once we see some more pics or something, but it's an unfortunate dissapointment for me so far.

They could probably get away with releasing a retool that gives it some of the changes it had in BM (some cybernetic dental, new head, detachable tail) and include the harness he wore (helmet, cape and new arms) that would go on top of the existing figure. Might end up going over 70 so I'm not sure if they'll go for it.

it's kinda hard to find good shots of him from the show, i don't even know if this here model is official, it looks it but it also has gappy legs
it seems his original legs were just kinda thicker, original neck longer, original right arm a bit longer too or at least hangs lower on the thigh.. and the ball thing was lower on the chest.

but it does look like they took the slightly awkward "dragon helmet around original megatron head" look and pulled the top visor down further, to fit better?
the real key to what makes beast megatron's face unique is his wide, pentagonal eyes, short, wide-flaring nose, and lowish mouth compared to the nose.. cant tell from here if they got that right or not

anyway even if I wasn't getting this, I'd still definitely get cryotek.

I've seen a lot of anatomical improvements on recent transformers, not just things like ankle rockers and nicely articulated wrists on occasion, but MOSTLY understanding good proportions and getting digitigrade legs right
so I wish I could just help them understand the concept of the trapezius.
if you have a boxy top-front of a torso, that represents your pecs.. if you have that coming RIGHT up to the chin, then you have a problem, because the logical place to put the shoulders now seems too low...
lower the chest slightly, give the neck some build-up space, let the shoulders plug into something that tapers its way upward to the neck, SOMEthing. this shoulder placement looks awkward because of the rest of the upper torso.. on the red and blue guy. the bearded guy ihas everything just right.. even has a popped collar so the head really feels like it's integrated.

That's the thing though. He had a jaw on his art and in the Marvel comic.
You'd have to be looking at pictures of the toy and ONLY the toy to think he has no jaw.
Shit, even if they were looking through tfwiki they have all the correct artworks before you get to the toy.

Those empty spaces allow the legs to fold and fit around the hip axles. Fasttrack has the same thing in his engineering. Not saying I like it but it's not just to remove more plastic, it's functional.

I like this, I don't love it. I prefer the single fin head because it's different and memorable. Sounds like he'll come with Peacemaker (a "minicon"), too. I'll probably have to design and print something to cover the backs of the legs. I just finished kitting out my Crosshairs so I'm just happy to get another Autobot Targetmaster.

It looks like a scaled up version of the T30 because it’s a pretty simple transformation that can’t be changed much. Weird that the designer put minicon ports on T30 but not this one though, makes it seem like Mark intentionally kept them off.
