the meme you posted is completely true lol, but having grown up here in Italy I've got to say I liked them a lot at the time. It's true they all had a similar pose, but they were pretty good for their cheap prices and i remember every kid really liking the character designs themselves. They were affordable, cool monsters with nice designs and they came with collectible cards, which was a big part of the appeal too, and the playsets were nice.
Granted, I don't know when you first moved here and i didn't even know there was a modern Gormiti line

I remember feeling like the creativity in design dropped hard when pic related became the titular characters, and i think the meme you posted was about that new wave. it felt like any creativity in character design and in pose variations kinda vanished, they definitely felt samey in a way the former lines didn't and that's when I lost interest in it
