When we compare this to other small doll companies, I believe Luts would be the closest in scale at its peak, where there was about ~8-10 roughly employees, they did 1-3 dolls a month (usually a large doll and a smaller 20-40cm set with matching outfits)
They had an in-house group of people sewing, casting, and then painting. They cranked out dolls and put them into production in order to keep the bills paid.
So, back to Smartdoll. I don't see many dolls in production. I don't see clothing flying off the shelf. I don't see enough second hand sales to justify that the actual purchasing of these dolls is intense.
We see them on insta yes, but what is the actual sales amount? If you were to compare this to say, tesla, yes you see the cars, but the company is technically not profitable and is held up by the government. Danny may be financially holding up his company out of his own pocket.
