>>9997284The base range on there isn't too bad from what I've seen, could be better, and it's slightly limited but it's fine. The male lineup is kino, and the female lineup are all slightly weird designs I'm not really familiar with, so that's cool. It's a shame we'll likely never see a device like I think it was the 3rd or 4th generation connect? At the time it felt like it had so much variety and every generation would surprise you with something new.
For me, the mix/on generation is peak tamagotchi. Gene mixing function steals the show. From what I understand, the gene feature wasn't loved by all, and some fans disliked how fast each tama grew, with the focus being more on building the family tree over keeping one tama going for a long time.

>>9997825>weeptchi or awamokotchiYeah neither these two or their replacements are on my radar as deal breaking characters.
>delay between tapping and it registering as a press because it needs to give time to wait and see if you're trying to swipeYeah so interesting point here, I found my partner at the time was able to use the pix fluently, she had no issues, unlike me. I'm used to older devices that I wouldn't often learn off by heart and have a very formulaic approach towards, so when I use vpets it's almost like I'm button mashing. Still, although she was able to use the device without the issues I encountered, she wasn't interested in running it due to the lack of gene mixing.
>The Smart is worse in that regard though, most interactions require tap-and-hold to count as a press, and then it fades to black between each screen, so basic navigation is much slowerKek well I have a smart otw now, so I guess I'm gigarekt there.
Benefit of the plugins is in the homebrew DIY culture tho - this was a large deciding factor in purchasing a Smart. Doesn't look like anything much is out there yet, but I'm sure it'll be here soon™
