Toy companies are more greedy than anything. Material costs going up barely account for that shit. Even if production costs have doubled over they years that doesn't warrant 5X price increases & exclusivity shit.

That's all it take with any IP, you get the wrong story told and you can undo a brand for decades. The few that hold up regardless of garbage stories are either blessed by the rule of cool (Venom, Wolverine,Joker, etc ) or are so entrenched in culture that they just can't be stamped out (Superman, Batman, Spider-man, etc)
Everyone else is fair game for bad stories taking top spots down to the depths of obscurity such as Ghost Riders and all of the Midnight Son's in the 90s.

Bad writers who think they are good and know what they are doing are going to do a hell of a lot more damage than people who are trying to crash an idea. One of the most Iconic is Stan Lee with Spider-man's black suit, if Stan didn't try to get rid of that asap we wouldn't have gotten Venom, his intentional demand to make the suit a threat to Parker so they could write it out wouldn't have lead to one of his most iconic villains. On the flip the Clone Saga was made by a committee trying to maximize sales and if it wasn't for the fact it was Spider-man that would have made him become more obscure than Sleepwalker or Darkhawk for how badly that four year event went.

I am hoping for almost a diorama level Haslab. Have a kick ass Blaze with a really detailed bike, include a few Ghost Rider villains, and some awesome effect pieces. Maybe have an actual diorama.

I know we will be getting a Car for a Ghost Rider most fans don't care for, but you never know.
