It's crazy that this is the only modern engineering action figure of this character based on a medium the creator was involved in. And it's the version not many care about. The rest are redesigns or Amons to push their own designer names and add more to cost. Best articulated manga Devilman is what, Microman?

Hope they do something about it. I'll take Figure-rise kit at this point. But it's also Mazinger Z anniversary so I'm sure all attention will go there.

Oh yeah sure. With that level of detailing it doesn't really matter the designs are basically the same so I forget. Colours are..who knows he seems to change them by whim. I guess he's been green skinned more consistently in modern drawings he did.

Just got Devilman Classic volumes 1 and 2. I know I'm going to eventually want a Devilman, figure, so what's the best one in terms of quality, posability, and price/availability? I expect it's not gonna be cheap but I'd rather be on the lower end of expensive.

Fewture if you don't mind more limited articulation and designs from the various OVAs and adaptations. Xebec/Violence Action Figures if you don't mind limited articulation and want something that looks closer to the manga look

Aren't they doing a rerelease of this? I remember seeing a picture of it at one of the latest cons.

That's my big complaint. Was confused why the chapter with Akira befriending those delinquents were the ones immediately following the pages of him telling the readers shit is about to go down. At least Shin Devilman being included in its chronological placement is a nice, if unadvertised, bonus.

Brazil got the Shinsouban (40th anniversary) edition, with revised art all around.
Spain got the original edition (in the format of The First release).

Is it just me, or was the Heavy Metal set an ashcan toy? Seems like Loose Collector rushed their Heavy Metal toys out the door to fulfill an obligation with Heavy Metal Entertainment, LLC. Probably explains why the joints in Taarna are so loose that they give Loose Collector's band name a whole new meaning.
