MT Jazz is one of the better offerings but it's slavishly toon, transformation is fiddly, and I absolutely hate how it cheats to extend the wheel wells on the legs. It looks awful in bot mode and you can see the pieces poking out in alt mode.
TW/Zeta has the old hybrid aesthetic I crave but they screwed the pooch with forearm gaps (inexcusable on anything larger than a deluxe) and what the fuck were they thinking with attaching the top rear of the car to the feet? Put it in anything wider than a mild A-stance and suddenly those large chunks are just hanging in the breeze. Plus, I hate the fake fake corp logos. Toy stripes are far better than toon stripes but I could take out leave corp logos and if they aren't going to be the real thing, then don't put them on. The knockoff corp logos just look stupid as fuck.
T&RO looks closer to the aesthetic, has the toy stripes, and even has the balls to use the real corp logos, but articulation is shit, transformation is a nightmare, and some parts don't hold together securely.
Then there's FT which so far looks the best of the bunch in terms of build and proportions, but once again, it's slavishly toon and going to come with FT's usual pitfalls of too much dicast, dicast joints, slathered in paint where it could have been colored plastic, likely an overcomplicated transformation step or five, and stopping just shy of great articulation by limiting it to single jointed elbows for no fucking reason. Oh yeah, and preorders sold out the instant they went up.
Being a Jazz fan, especially one who prefers the old hybrid MP aesthetic, is fucking suffering.
