>>9978267The "softness" of it will depend on a lot of things. The key, though, is that they're softer than normal vinyl. You can heat up sofubi and squish them; can't really do that with a vinyl record.
>>9977883The first figure that brought me in was the HxS brutal A with the visible gold skeleton. Unfortunately thats something that will probably be forever beyond my grasp because I'm not willing to pay the price of a freaking car to buy one second hand.
I have a lot now. Probably over 100 pieces, small and big. Lots of styles and artists. As per which is my favorite, thats very hard. I like everything in my collection; wouldn't have got it if I didn't. But in terms of my very favorite it might be the Sameru by kiyokawa.
>Most are fuglyThe nice thing about sofubi is that there will always be something that appeals to you. Even if you think 99% is bad, you'll have that 1%. And believe me, the more you look the more you'll appreciate. I used to think elegab was crap. Then, about a year later, he's one of my favorite artists.
>>9978956Don't ask a woman her age, a man his salary, or a sofubi collector their budget. Lets just say I used to collect lots of kinds of toys but now I just collect sofubi. I'm honestly happier though, I like this big, chunky, simple things a lot better then fragile hyper articulated figures in the end.
