>>9978723The issue is that those "people" don't actually care for the hobby for the most part.
Not saying there isn't a single troon or fag that enjoys toys but it's safer to bet that a sizable majority of them are either so into their corporate/academia-imposed identity that they'll immediately use the hobby for activism and ruin everything for everyone else, or they never actually cared about the hobby in the first place and targeted it for use as a vector for their activism due to its relatively low bar of entrance.
There's also how people that align with what some call the total state are obsessed with bringing it anywhere they go, and these days it's troons and fags who are the most invested in the current brand of totalitarianism.
Think for a minute why a guy like TJOmega looks and dresses and conducts the way he does, or how come more normal collectors with smaller curated collections are more into minimalism.
These are people that gave themselves to the hobby and the media surrounding it and didn't have the money or time for other things, and once they decided to spend more on other things, focused on enjoying more minute and personal aspects of the hobby. They don't have the interest or the time to give to this bullshit.

The latter aren't as expensive so they are at least a bit of a refuge for these price hikes, but these mecha musume figures are getting retarded recently.
Also, Moderoids are circling those prices as well despite still assembly and could as well be made into pre-assembled figures for a similar price considering their target audience.
