Also remember when someone is posting their agenda on why they're actively trying to destroy a general, you can put in a report for that. You can also send mod feedback. He has been banned for several weeks at a time, multiple times for this behaviour and while we do not have a mod, janitors must look at reports and pass on ban recommendations to mods.

Actual goanon here. So I've still been posting on /toy/ but I got bored with fucking with /tfg/ a little while ago. I actually haven't posted here for some time. Genuinely shocked how bad it got here, but not as shocked as I am to see some guy pretending to be me and actually doing a pretty good job of it.
Like I'm impressed that whoever's doing this got my posting style down so well, but also slightly bemused that someone has been using my identity as a trolling tactic. That takes dedication. Or autism. Or both.

The answer is...he kinda did? The legs are actually pretty loose and they wiggle a little bit in gun mode, but I definitely don't get the impression he's gonna break during transformation, and he stands up well enough in robot/human/nebulon(?) form.

Is it so much to ask for a mod to make a fucking statement on vandalizing a general on a board this small, where one psycho can do as much damage as they've been doing, especially when they're just going to ban evade in a single day? Feel super envious. I only had one of the Jr Headmasters growing up (Siren) and they cost $100+ on the secondary market combined with the fact that Hasbro never seems to want to remake them (and in the case of Fangry, stuck him in an expensive, hard to find store exclusive box set).

I never liked TR Hardhead, but the Quake repaint quickly grew on me because the colors fit the mold way better.

BTW where can I get Quake's targetmaster mates? The distribution of the Targetmaster guns for their US release was kind of cray-cray and I couldn't keep up with how to find them.

The story of Nightbeat and Siren is complicated. Supposedly Hasbro switched headmaster figure molds at the last minute but didn't tell Marvel, so they drew Siren with a normal face (IE Nightbeat's face) and drew Nightbeat with Siren's face (complete with sunglass-like eyes). Adding to this, Nightbeat's updated figures tend to use the comic/Siren's face but for the headmaster figures, they switched and had Nightbeat and Siren have their toy faces (so Siren had sunglasses and Nightbeat didn't).

Also, the Autobot Jr Headmasters were partsformers where their headmasters didn't have their heads "helmets"; all three had seats for their headmasters to sit in when in vehicle mode and mini-guns that you use to give the robot heads their 'helmets and antennas".

I also forget if Nightbeat came first or Minerva came first and Hasbro repainted her/made her male because of them not wanting female transformers.

I got pretty lucky with Nightbeat a few years back. I forget how much he cost but I remember the listing had really shitty photos but he was complete so I figured I'd at least be able to maybe track a better main body down the line if it came down to it, but it turns out I didn't have to as the whole set was in a terrific condition.

For whatever reason they wanted a robot that resembled Feng Zhu's conceptual designs for the first movie (he pushed the snowball that became Doritoscream). But they were just stripped down "skeletons" that he'd add extra layers to later.

I like the flaming idea and the color scheme, but I can't love the actual shapes. His silhouette is kinda generic and the face is just a normal G1-masked-bot-look. I feel like the thirteen Primes should look more distinct. His RID2015 design was neat too but the colors felt like a normal Megatron color scheme instead of a The Fallen color scheme.

100% agreed. I'm not majorly into Skids as a character but he looks great in blue, and also he uses the Turbo molding. As it stands I might get either Crosscut or Burnout, both of whom look awesome too. I can kind of understand the logic TBF- the Skids toy didn't come with Motocompo IIRC. It is annoying for sure, and I wish they'd included him, but given what a complete non-entity Skids was in the cartoon anyway, I don't think there's a "right" choice of deco for the mold. Also if I'm honest, I'm just glad the mold limits accessories to the guns, Motocompo and minifigure and doesn't come with a billion price-inflating "thing from that one scene" pieces of useless junk like so many modern MPs do.

I heard the official reason was so jet engines didn't find their way onto the open market, both to avoid the technology being stolen by rivals and to keep it out of the hands of commies or other nasties, but that is a quite possible explanation. Regardless it's a fucking travesty and I'd love to see turbine cars make a comeback. With modern tech they'd probably be much more viable too. I know at the time they had real flaws (poor efficiency and the exhaust blast being dangerous) but that could be worked out.
