Other than literally never touching or posing it, no. Pleather is fundamentally a terrible material, it's basically fabric coated in a layer of soft plastic. The more it moves the more the plastic layer weakens until it cracks and peels away from the fabric. Like it's not even a case of "only works for bigger toys" like some materials. It's not good for ANYTHING even outside of toys. Pleather clothes and upholstery are notorious for falling to bits.
Sadly aside from actual leather (which costs a fortune, and in the case of thin leather like suede, is still prone to damage) there's no soft goods alternative.

You can prolong it by using baby oil drops every half year, but it still won't last like regular fabric.

I’m happy to lurk on a discussion about rooted hair etc. but i always find it annoying and ridiculous how mad some of you guys get with each other.

I like to imagine us sitting in a living room together having these talks maybe by a fire with a few drinks. Then eventually it comes close to fisticuffs and pure rage …. Because.

Its just toys.

And btw i always loved the flocked hair on the old gi joes. i just love the texture and yes it looks like a FUN toy to me because of that. And, I’m totally going to rub baby oil all over my Kaneda doll next to a cozy fire while having a few drinks.
