>>9992541I saw this every time I went to media play. Back when Halo 2 was fairly new still and every kid (well, every boy) was obsessed with the series. I always wanted it, think I even had the picture from the website printed out, but then one time when I was coming home from visiting with my dad (parents separated before I was born) I brought it up to him, so we stopped by Media Play and he ran in to get it. But, it wasn't there.
Not too long after that, Media Play went under, and all that cool shit I remember going in and looking at, thinking how it was just the coolest fucking place ever, it was all gone. The sign remained on the building for ages, and I still have some Media Play giftcards lying around somewhere, as mementos, but I never did get that figure.
What's worse is that I learned from my cousin that my dad, or grandmother/his mom, bought a bunch of Halo shit for me for Christmas of that year but because he vanished and we didn't really stay in touch with his side of the family I never got any of it. Sort of a microcosm for my relationship with him and that family, I guess.
