I have been into anime goods and figure collecting for about 15 years. I have a large collection as I’ve never sold a single item in that time. Now that I’m moving to Japan, I want to sell a lot of the items I have.

So I would like some advice.

What’s the best platform to sell anime goods on? MyFigureCollection? eBay? An app like Vinted it Depop? A personal website?

Any other advice, do’s and don’t’s?

If your statue is of wolverine or Batman or something completely non coomer then it would technically not be a Japanese figurines ( rule 2 says Japanese)

For a quick sale, MFC and mecarie. Do note if you sell over 600$ worth of merch the IRS will come and tax a good chunk of it.

I think that in the 4chan of 2008, when /toy/ was created, it was definitely necessary to just outright ban japanese statues instead of trying to hair split. On /b/ and /v/ in particular i can remember a lot of toy threads devolving into hentai statues and hotglue. I think they just wanted to avoid that happening to this board, so they nipped it from the start.
At this point though the rule could be ammended to specify no nude figure images.
Most posters don't seem to mind much anymore, other than a few turbo autists who are mad they never get selected to be janitors.
