>>9999895>Todd believes it.Todd believes a lot of his own hype. While I do appreciate the level of detail that McFarlane figures have, with cloth texturing on suits, or the leather look on the Three Jokers Batman cowl and cape, the fact is that because every figure is a brand new sculpt the scale throughout the line is all over the place, proportions are often wonky, and most importantly, new sculpting means higher cost. Even having set base bodies for individual characters, like a set body for comic style Batman and Superman would drive over all costs down, which means Todd could give us more accessories, like alternate hands, or allow for head-swapping. Like I said above, the Three Jokers and Death of the Family Joker figures sharing the same body meant that I was able to easily kitbash my personal perfect Joker and I can just swap parts back when I want, but because the Three Jokers Batman and Arkham Asylum Batman are totally different bodies, I can switch their hands, even though they're the exact same design.
You can go on about "artistic freedom" all you want, but bucks make for good business and playability.
