>>31908It really is getting to the point where i don't feel like trying any more.
I remember when moot's posting on /qa/ was over and the flurry of art and OC that came out of /qa/ at the time. I was doing a lot then, I started several of the longest running threads, and i used to open up the site at odd hours of the day just to bump the highest quality posts and the dumb mspaint quest threads of the board-tan at the time.
I had this thing I tried to start where we would all make art and have a designated party thread for each board's birthday (date the board was created) and - I'm no artist - but i spent a lot of effort on shit like that, and when I posted it I actually got temp banned from /sp/ for off-topic and sage-bombed on a few other boards from people who didn't care.
It sort of makes me feel like shit, this whole culture the site has adopted in which newfags feel like they need to be jaded and insult everything to fit in. Whatever happened to genuine enjoyment? I know when I first came here /b/ was where you would go to see people act crazy and say things unlike anything you'd ever see, but over time that completely changed.
4chan is just about the only place i can go and hear people talking about things with genuine emotion. Every website is connected to your personal identity now, and everyone's so concerned with their image that every time something happens on the news, it's like a game as to who can get the most outraged about it. If someone has an outlying opinion, or even just wants to talk about something completely different, they feel like they're "insensitive" or that it makes them lose progressive points. Everywhere i look it seems like the world's gone crazy, and even though there are retards here, the retards aren't afraid to come out and be at equal levels as shitty and as beautifully eloquent as anywhere I've ever been.
