I stopped browsing when fucking gamergate happened. The board went from being fairly goofy (if not increasingly uptight) to being a incel battledome. Every other fucking thread was about sticking it to anita, or sjws, or "corrupt gaming journalists" (lmao imagine going to war over slowtaku). every other fucking thread, for months, it was entirely unbearable.
Oh you think all this shit is annoying bullshit and just want to talk about vidya? Good fucking luck, because every other post is about it. Just anger anger anger anger anger and outrage. No one was having fun anymore, it became a place to discuss politics and get upset about women.
First time I ever stopped browsing the board, for months. I'd check in and it would just be worse and worse, and this was before the election happened and the state of the site now
