The doors to the Metro car opened and the shoving game began. As everyone tried to cram themselves into the small opening. I managed to get into the cramped Metro car before the doors closed on my leg.
Tired from work, all I wanted to do was sit down. Looking for an empty seat was an arduous task. The usual handicapped, elderly and pregnant had taken the prime seats. Frustrated, I pushed my through the huddled masses.
Until, I saw a cute girl sitting by herself. She one of those goth chicks. Dressed in all black, pale, dark rings around her eyes and lips that looked like the all color had been sucked out.
"May I sit by you?"
"Sure."
"Name's Mark," I said as I sat in the empty
seat next to her.
"Marissa." She replied back.
"Oh, that's a nice name. You from around here?"
"Thanks... Look, I have a boyfriend and he really doesn't like me talking to strange men."
" Oh, I'm sorry, just trying to be friendly! "
Marissa raised up her left sleeve, to scratch an itch. I looked at her arm and saw the deep cuts that went all the way up.
I gasped, " You don't have to harm yourself. There's places you can go that help, if you need someone to talk to."
"It helps with the hurt," she said "besides this is my stop"
"Oh, sorry..." I moved my legs so she get could by. As she walked away from me, (at least I think she walked, thinking back on it now, I'm not so sure I even saw her legs moving) I noticed in horror. I stared at what seemed like forever at the most frightening thing that I had ever laid my eyes on...
