Many of the citizens lack winter clothing, and don't know how to react to the suddenly cold weather, as if they've never experienced it. Judging by the geography of the region, it's fairly flat and temperate with vegetation, so it can be narrowed down that Retroville is more than likely in Eastern Texas, inland, as there are no notable nearby rivers or oceans.
