At any moment in time you can browse the catalog and over half the threads are either off topic or against the rules, but it's such a fast board and there's so many phone posters that the staff can't keep up with banning everyone so they only delete the really, truly, most offensive content and let most mild shitposting slide that otherwise would merit removal. I've seen blatant NSFW porn threads reach bump limit numerous times on a weekly basis.
If /v/ was properly moderated (Getting rid of /pol/-tier threads, console wars, and the like), its quality would improve ten fold.
