How come I can't renew my pass anymore until only 1 week is left?

I remember it used to be that you could renew it months before it expired, or am I getting Mandela effect'd here?

I think you speak the truth.

When I needed to renew, I got a message at least 3 months before it ran out.

Maybe they are trying to kill peoples subscription streaks.

Mine expired for like a day though.
Had to get some Bitcoin to get a new one, so it took me over 24 hours with no pass.
I *think* I kept my streak

The pass page still says 6 months.
That said, I tried renewing mine which has still almost 10 months left and the form says it had initiated a password reset instead, which did not arrive.

Why would they change that? Doesn't that just make the site get money faster?

It says that on the top of the page, but if you scroll down into the fine print, it says only 1 week.
