There is literally no reason you need to turn it off, and if some organisations tries to frame you, you can literally make sure it gets to court and you talk about how anything they read, took offence at or believed was misuse of legal trademarks (according to US law) literally have systems in place to report those things to the 4chan mod team AND they chose to consume the content.
Literally the act of turning on your PC and connecting to the internet is pretty much enough to prove you chose to read the things online that you did and then totally independently from the thread or thing you read online, chose behaviours and actions that negatively impact yourself or others.
If I read a book and then burn down the library because of it, it's still my fault for not reacting appropriately or with normal behaviour, you can't blame something else for your actions, you chose your actions at best and at worst, intentionally jumped at the occasion to break the law.
