Hello friends, I’m a young person living in Turkey, and recently, we've been witnessing a surge of women and child murders in my country. There's even a website called “Anitsayac.com” that has been tracking the women killed since 2008. This has become too much for me to handle. Every woman I know has either been harassed or will be. We live in fear. We need to rise up and overthrow the government, but no one is taking the first step. Just a few days ago, a girl’s head was cut off and thrown in the middle of the street. (If you search for "Ikbal Uzuner," you’ll find it.) The government stayed silent for days on this brutality. It’s not just the government—our internal politics are a mess, and the opposition is doing nothing either. Tweeting will get us nowhere, and we’re desperately looking for someone to pull us out of this pit, but no one wants to be that person. I want to tear down and fix this messed-up system, but I can’t do it alone. It’s night here in Turkey, and I’m about to go to bed. When I wake up, I want to see you hack Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s (he's our president) Twitter account, insult the government, and call for everyone to gather in front of the palace at 6 p.m. on Saturday and force the government to resign overnight. If there are any Turks among you, we can do this, my friends, I believe it. Thank you in advance for everything, friends.
