what can be done?
i like to browse /biz/ and the stock market general. over the past year or two, biz and /smg/ have degenerated into a microcosm of /pol/. it's become completely unusable. the smg general even says to "leave your politics at the door" but then sometimes it has blatantly political content in the thread starter. i reported a post that has literally zero content about the stock market for being off topic and i got a warning for it. I'm not trying to abuse the report system, im trying to do at least something, anything, to fix it.

/biz/ should not be /pol/. and 4chan should not be Reddit, but lately you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. Can someone, please, do SOMETHING. it's frankly embarrassing for the board at this point.

I can easily just sod off and quit using certain boards but is that really the spirit of 4chan? just let boards go to complete crap until people stop using them and bots take over completely? follow the Reddit playbook? if so this website is done and dying. pretty sad.

you could use that as a justification for anything anywhere. it's retarded. i don't even care if there are well thought out posts talking about how politics affects stocks. i don't even get bothered by all the crypto talk.
